Mealime shut down on 21 October 2026, and its replacement only lives in US grocery apps.
If you shop in New Zealand, Australia or the UK, FlexiDiet plans your week around your supermarket.

The short version, straight from Mealime's own closing notice.
Mealime announced the shutdown in advance and made its Pro features free for everyone until the last day. The app no longer works.
Mealime said all personal data would be deleted at shutdown, and there was no export. Saved favourites, meal plans and recipes you added yourself went with it.
Mealime's recipes moved to Meals Hub, inside the grocery apps of Albertsons Companies, a US supermarket group. It is built around those US stores.
You're in the right place. FlexiDiet does the job Mealime did for you, a week of dinners and a shopping list you don't have to think about, using products and prices from your own supermarket.
Mealime was loved for a handful of things. Here's where each one lives in FlexiDiet.
Tell FlexiDiet the most time you'll spend cooking and every dinner in your plan fits inside it.
Your grocery list builds itself from the week's meals and groups everything by supermarket aisle, so you shop in one lap.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and every major allergen. Add the foods you just don't like and they never turn up.
Not feeling Tuesday's dinner? Swap it. The grocery list and your numbers update on their own.

Based on Mealime's published features at closure (21 October 2026).
Your account is gone, but Mealime's recipe pages were still online when we checked. Nobody knows for how long, so grab the ones you love this week.
Search the recipe's name on Google with "mealime" after it, open the recipe page and copy its link.
Go to Recipes, Create a Recipe, From a Website, and paste the link. The ingredients and method come across exactly as written.
Each ingredient is matched to a product at your supermarket and the calories are worked out. Oil and salt sometimes arrive without an amount, so check those lines, then save.
Kept a printout?
Snap it with Take a Photo, or upload a saved PDF with From a PDF.
Yours, not ours
Recipes you import are private to your account. Nobody else sees them.
Same easy dinners. A few things Mealime was never built for.
You're on 1,400 calories, your partner is on 2,800 and the kids need less. FlexiDiet works out every plate from the same pan, so nobody cooks twice.
Ingredients are matched to products at your own supermarket in NZ, AU or the UK. FlexiPro adds live prices, so you see the cost of the week before you shop.
Sunday's roast turns into Monday's lunch. FlexiDiet schedules leftovers across the week, so less goes in the bin.
Off-plan snack? Scan it and the rest of your day adjusts. Planned meals are one tap: tick Eaten and move on.
Straight answer, both ways.
Fair question after the week you've had.
No company can promise forever. Here's what makes FlexiDiet different from an app that sits inside a bigger business:
There is no parent company to fold FlexiDiet into its own app. It answers to its founder and its members.
Brad Gorlicki, an ISSA-certified nutrition coach, spent 18 months of development building FlexiDiet and still reads the support emails.
New features ship every month, and the supermarket data behind your plan refreshes every day.
Mealime was discontinued on 21 October 2026. Mealime said all personal data would be deleted when the app shut down, and it did not offer an export. Its Pro features were free for everyone until it closed.
Not from Mealime. Accounts, saved recipes, meal plans and your own added recipes were deleted at shutdown. Mealime's public recipe pages were still online when we last checked (23 October 2026), so you can still find a favourite by name on mealime.com and import it into FlexiDiet. If you kept a printout or a PDF of a recipe, FlexiDiet can import that too.
Meals Hub is the official home for Mealime's recipes, built by the same team inside the grocery apps of Albertsons Companies, a US supermarket group. It is built around those US stores, so it is not a practical option if you shop in New Zealand, Australia or the UK.
Yes. Copy the recipe's link from mealime.com, then in FlexiDiet go to Recipes, Create a Recipe, From a Website, and paste it. FlexiDiet reads the ingredients and method exactly as written on the page, matches each ingredient to a product at your supermarket and works out the calories per serving. Pantry basics like oil and salt sometimes come through without an amount, so check those lines before you save. Recipe import is a FlexiPro feature, and it is included in your 14-day free trial.
FlexiDiet is free to start with no credit card. The free plan includes your weekly meal plan, a grocery list sorted by aisle and barcode scanning. FlexiPro adds recipe import, live supermarket prices and unlimited swaps, and every new account gets the full FlexiPro for 14 days. See the pricing page for current prices in your country.
FlexiDiet builds every plan around a calorie target, which can be for losing weight, building muscle or simply staying where you are. Nothing is off-limits: lasagna, butter chicken and takeaway nights all fit. If you never want to see a calorie number at all, a recipe-only app may suit you better, and we would rather tell you that now.
No. Your meal plans are never generated by AI. FlexiDiet was designed by a former nutrition coach and builds every plan from carefully selected formulas. It links each recipe to real ingredients in your local supermarket and makes sure you get enough calories, carbs, protein, fat and fiber for a balanced diet.
Yes, and this is where it goes further than Mealime did. Mealime let you pick a serving count. FlexiDiet works out each person's portion of the same dinner from their own calorie target, so you, your partner and the kids eat one meal with the right amount on every plate.
FlexiDiet is live in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, with product and nutrition data from local supermarkets in each. It was built in New Zealand.
